Return of Shenzhou-19 mission postponed due to meteorological conditions

To ensure the safety and health of the taikonauts and the complete success of the mission, the return of the Shenzhou-19 manned spacecraft, originally scheduled for April 29, has been postponed to a more favorable time in the near future. The decision was made because meteorological conditions at the Dongfeng landing site currently do not meet mission requirements, according to Xinhua News Agency.

Previously, the crew of China's Shenzhou-19 spacecraft held a handover ceremony with the Shenzhou-20 crew and transferred the keys of the country's space station to the latter on Sunday, and the Shenzhou-19 crew has completed all planned tasks, as reported by Xinhua.

The Shenzhou-19 manned spacecraft was successfully launched on October 30, 2024, with taikonauts Cai Xuzhe, Song Lingdong, and Wang Haoze onboard.
